There's certainly been plenty of discussion as of late about the future of Ray Hoffmann's chairmanship of the Republican Party of Iowa.
The Sioux City Journal has a story out there today about it. It appears that Mr. Hoffmann will be making his decision prior to the RPI Central Committee meeting on January 25.
Whatever happens, happens. However, it should be noted that Sioux City definitely has a juggernaut on Republican leadership right now in the state. When you have both legislative leaders and the Chair of the party from there, good for the party or not, it's impressive.
Who's up next if Hoffmann does step down? I'm not immune to hearing the rumors but I'm also not the type of guy to just continue to spread rumors on some blog either. That's not my style.

I just hope Stu gives up his run. We need some fresh blood.
Its not surprising to hear that Ray might be on the way out..
Many of the rank and file grassroots leaders were furious that Ray got re-elected after the debacle of the 2006 elections.
He certainly didnt help his case with the lack of state party fundraising.
The Straw Poll didnt meet fundrasing goals nor did the Reagan and Lincoln Dinners....
Also, there still is not a candidate recruited to run in the 3rd or the 1st CD as well....
Those are all issues that ultimately fall on the shoulders of the leader of the state party..
Rumored Names for Chairman:
Stew Iverson
Ted Sporer
Dave Jamison
Ruth Haus
Marlys Popma
